Gaming Hobby Rituals that Feeds your Soul

Way back in college, I started a gaming hobby ritual that I still engage in today - once a week if I can. It is something that feeds my soul. Here's how it goes: It begins with a trip to my local gaming store (which was Castle Perilous in my early college days) or bookstore where I pick something up, new or used. Next I go straight to a cheap, Chinese restaurant (New Kahala) - you know, the kind that isn't really that clean and they serve every dish in a styrofoam container? Those kinds of places have the best fried rice, IMHO. Then I read my new purchase while eating beef fried rice with a Mt. Dew.

Since moving to Peoria, IL I go to Barnes and Noble or Just for Fun gaming store and then to Ing's Chinese Express (which is remarkably clean, but they still serve food in styrofoam). Last week I perused a used copy of the 1st edition DMG. Today, I read two H.P. Lovecraft short stories.

So what kind of gaming/hobby rituals feed your soul?
