BHP: Bigger and Better!

Aidan & Riley: "We're not astronauts, we are X-plorers!"
This halfing has been hard at work! Let me try and catch you up on some of the many things BHP is up to right now.

X-plorers
Almost all of the X-plorer Limited Edition Boxed Sets are on their way! I will be shipping all the orders from October in the morning (Saturday) and I still have to update the paypal shipping status of all the international orders. A number of of boxed sets are on their way to Noble Knight Games too! A very large order of the full-size version of X-plorers is headed to my distributor and into game store shelves in December. I have many products for X-P that will start coming out regularly (and even PLAY REPORTS with my boys!) just as soon as I can get all the Delving Deeper Boxed sets shipped.

Delving Deeper
Jesse (Verahden) had some real life stuff (good things) cause him to be unable to finish the layout of Delving Deeper. I sure do appreciate Jesse's help and I hope we can work together again down the road. As a result, I am working like madman to finish up the layout (so much so, my wife and kids are complaining – as they should!). I have set November 1-3 as my shipping deadline and I intend to keep it. All the folks who pre-ordered Delving Deeper (some many months ago) have been so patient and I am not going to make them wait any longer. I will start posting samples from the text next week. I think folks are going to really like Delving Deeper. I love the way it is written and illustrated.

BHP Facilities and Equipment
Papa Hallfing Wrapping X-P Boxed Sets
Worth every penny!
Now that BHP has become my day job, I spent much of September expanding my working space and my equipment. I have always tried to actually create as many BHP products as possible with my own hands, but because of limited time, space and equipment I have had to settle for making only a handful of products at a time. This worked well back when BHP would put out a new product every three or four months and sell around 50 or less of them. Now that I get orders for hundreds of products from distributors, online retailers and pre-orders, this was just not going to work for me any longer. Problem solved! With my expanded space and equipment, I have been able to create as many as 200 digest booklets a day (still by hand, of course). My favorite new toy is my own industrial shrink-wrap equipment which not only saves me hours and hours time, makes BHP products look like they belong on game-store shelves, it also helps protect them from moisture during shipping.

BHP has a bunch of products in-the-works, but that is enough for now. I am getting all settled in back in the town I grew up in - expect to see lots of play reports, reviews, guest bloggers and more. I may have started BHP as a hobby publisher over four years ago, but I am in RPG publishing for the long haul now!

Thanks, guys!

Have fun gaming!

  3. I just got to say thanks for the great game, I received my box set the other day and have not put it down. My 7 year old is dying to play along with his 6 year old siblings!

    Awesome work!
